About this position

We are seeking a highly motivated, curious and tenacious Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. As a scrappy and hard-working lead generator, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our fintech Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) compliance automation solution in the banking industry. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and qualify potential leads, nurturing them through the sales funnel and contributing to the expansion of our customer base. This role offers tremendous opportunities for rapid career advancement for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. This role's compensation includes salary plus being paid for every qualified meeting you schedule for the sales team, and additional quarterly and annual bonus opportunities if you hit your goals. Base salary of $40,000-$50,000 based on experience. Total on-target earning potential of $94,000-$104,000.

  1. Lead Generation: Proactively research, identify, and engage potential customers within the banking industry. Utilize various channels, including cold outreach, social media, industry events, and networking to generate high-quality leads.
  2. Qualification: Conduct thorough and effective lead qualification to ensure alignment with our target customer profile. Identify key decision-makers and stakeholders, understanding their pain points and needs.
  3. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects, serving as a trusted advisor and understanding their specific business challenges. Effectively communicate the value of our fintech SaaS solution and how it addresses their unique requirements.
  4. Sales Funnel Management: Track and manage leads through the sales pipeline, ensuring a smooth handover to the Account Executives for further sales discussions.
  5. Achieve Targets: Consistently meet and exceed lead generation and conversion targets. Take ownership of individual performance and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
  6. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, developments, and challenges in the fintech and banking industries. Use this knowledge to enhance your approach to lead generation and sales efforts.
This is a great opportunity for top performers to quickly move into an Account Executive role. Success will be evaluated at the 6 month and 12 month marks, with additional responsibilities and compensation opportunities added at those points if lead quotas have been consistently exceeded. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven track record of success in lead generation, sales development, or business development roles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage with prospects effectively.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a relentless work ethic. 
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales prospecting platforms.
  • Previous experience in the fintech or SaaS industry and knowledge of banking software is a plus.
  • Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Navigator and other data or intent tools is a plus.

This is an entry-level or early-sales position so we do not expect you to meet all of the qualifications listed. But being extremely driven, with an ability to build relationships is a must.
